YAIR RAIZ - "OneFamily Fund- "Running for Them | Chicago Marathon 2026

Dear family and friends, I’m happy and deeply moved to share that I’ve decided to take part in the **"Running for Them"** initiative organized by the **OneFamily** organization, combining my passion for running with honoring the memory of my beloved mother, Aliza Raiz, of blessed memory, and my beloved aunt, Rachel Cohen, of blessed memory, who were murdered in a terrorist attack about a year and a half ago. As part of this initiative, I will be running the Chicago Marathon together with a team of runners organized by OneFamily. As many of you know, my mother was always on the move—full of energy, driven by challenges and big dreams. Rachel and my mother were not only sisters but also close friends and partners, walking side by side throughout the years. For me, running has become an important way to cope with the immense pain and the countless thoughts that have accompanied us since the tragedy. When I learned about this initiative, I immediately felt it was a meaningful and fitting way to honor my mother's memory. Beyond commemorating their lives, this initiative gives my run an even greater purpose by allowing me to give back and support OneFamily, an organization that provides vital assistance to bereaved families and victims of terrorism. My family and I have personally benefited from the organization's invaluable support since the attack, making my participation in this initiative especially meaningful. As part of the initiative, we are launching a fundraising campaign to support OneFamily's ongoing work.
