Shekef Farm

Shekef Farm is a therapeutic farm located in the heart of the Amatzia Forest, near the Adorayim Dam. It focuses on supporting the caregiving ecosystem, including mental health professionals, educators, medical teams, and first responders who work with trauma on a daily basis, alongside additional programs for youth, soldiers, and reservists, with an emphasis on prevention and early support. The farm offers therapeutic days and ongoing processes grounded in connection to land, nature, and community, creating space for those who carry the responsibility of caring for others to pause, process, and strengthen their own resilience. Shekef Farm was established on 1.1.24 as part of the Rimon Farms Association, with a deep understanding of the need for spaces that support both prevention and recovery in a reality shaped by ongoing stress and collective trauma. The farm’s activity combines agriculture, ecology, and community based processes, guided by the belief that meaningful work in a living landscape creates stability, belonging, and resilience on both an individual and systemic level. Shekef Farm also works in partnership with residents of the Lachish Regional Council, integrating local community involvement in its establishment, daily operation, and hosting of visiting groups. This shared effort is central to its vision: creating a connected space that strengthens individuals, communities, and the broader support systems around them.
