Invitation to Partner in a Fundraising Evening Marking 20 Years of Activity at the Na Laga’at Center
December 1, 2026 | Na Laga’at Center, Jaffa Port
The social reality in Israel during this complex period calls on us to strengthen spaces of encounter, listening, solidarity, and mutual responsibility
places where people with and without disabilities meet as equals, create together, work together, and invite Israeli society to see differently.
The Na Laga’at Center, which has been operating for 20 years at Jaffa Port, is one of the most unique cultural-social centers in the world. The Center employs and promotes Deaf, blind, and Deafblind people, and operates through theater, a culinary experience in complete darkness, educational workshops, events, and groundbreaking human encounters.
Over the years, approximately two million visitors from Israel and around the world have come to the Center and experienced a direct, moving, and consciousness-changing encounter with people with disabilities not through pity, but through talent, professionalism, creativity, and shared experience.
Na Laga’at’s special fundraising evening will take place on December 1, 2026, as part of the opening events marking the Center’s 20th anniversary. The evening will feature a unique performance by Evyatar Banai in complete darkness a one-of-a-kind, profound, and moving artistic experience that reflects the spirit of the Center: seeing beyond what meets the eye.
The evening is intended to raise vital resources for the continued development of the Na Laga’at Center: strengthening meaningful employment for people with disabilities, developing accessible and collaborative artistic creation, expanding educational and social activities, and ensuring the continued existence of a unique cultural-social model both Israeli and international.
Alongside the support for the Center, the evening will carry an additional meaningful purpose: through the purchase of donor tickets, wounded IDF soldiers will be able to attend the performance — an evening of music, connection, gratitude, and hope, in partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Defense.
In this way, every partnership in the evening creates a double impact: it strengthens Na Laga’at and its social-cultural mission, while also providing wounded IDF soldiers with a moving human and cultural experience within a space of listening, dignity, and healing.
This is an evening that lights the way forward for Na Laga’at, for wounded IDF soldiers, and for a more sensitive, inclusive, and connected Israeli society.
