Show more Just Smile – Our Annual Event Four years ago, Maor Wolf lost his sister to suicide. From that pain, and from the understanding that Israel's mental health system leaves many people behind – the "Just Smile" nonprofit was born. The reality in Israel is difficult: thousands of people in mental distress are not receiving the care they need – not because they don't want it, but simply because they cannot afford it. Private therapy is prohibitively expensive, and public waiting lists are painfully long. Sometimes, that wait costs a human life. What Have We Accomplished So Far? Since our founding in 2022, we have worked tirelessly to change this reality: We helped dozens of people access professional mental health treatment they could not have funded on their own, held awareness events and reached thousands of people with life-saving messages on mental health and suicide prevention, built partnerships with professionals, institutions, and the Jerusalem Municipality, and received recognition from Mrs. Michal Herzog, wife of the President of Israel, and from the Mayor of Jerusalem. But the need is far greater than what we have been able to provide so far – and that is why we are here, and why we need you. Why Does Your Donation Matter?
