Crowdfunding Campaign | Mental Resilience for the Sayeret Nahal Community
By Owl Protectors
Once family, always family. We don’t leave our combat soldiers and alumni behind
Donors: 70
The Sayeret Nahal Association is the shared home of the entire Sayeret Nahal community across generations, including the unit’s reconnaissance, Orev, and combat engineering teams, active-duty and reserve soldiers, alumni, and their families. The association supports the community throughout its journey: during service, after discharge, in the transition to civilian life, and in moments when a strong community is needed behind them.
Since October 7, mental resilience has become one of the most important and urgent areas of the association’s work. Combat soldiers returning from prolonged combat, teams that have endured difficult events, wounded soldiers, bereaved families, and families carrying a heavy burden all need professional, sensitive, and continuous support.
To date, we have held approximately 30 team resilience journeys and supported hundreds of combat soldiers, alumni, and family members through individual and group assistance, including emotional support, therapy, processing sessions, and support for bereaved families. For many of them, this is the place where they can pause, speak, process, regain strength, and gradually return to daily functioning and life.
To understand the scale of this work: each team resilience journey is subsidized by the association with approximately NIS 30,000, and each bereaved parent’s resilience journey is subsidized with approximately NIS 5,000. Behind every amount are real people: a team that needs to process what it has been through, a bereaved parent who needs space to breathe, and an entire family receiving support.
But the needs have not ended. More teams are asking for support, more combat soldiers and alumni need therapy and guidance, and more families require a professional and human support framework. At the same time, donations have declined, and the association’s financial situation does not allow us to continue the resilience program at the required scale.
We are launching a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of NIS 600,000, to continue providing resilience journeys, therapy and emotional support, assistance for wounded soldiers and families, and professional care for those who need it right now.
Every donation, large or small, helps us continue to be a family and make sure we do not leave anyone in the Sayeret Nahal community behind.
Want to help us reach more people? Click the “Join as an Ambassador” button, receive your personal link, and share it with family, friends, relatives, colleagues, and WhatsApp groups. Every donation made through your personal link will be counted toward your ambassador page in the campaign.
As part of the association’s appreciation, on August 1, 2026, the ambassador who raises the highest total amount will receive a special benefit from the association, valued at 10% of the total donations raised through their personal link, in accordance with the association’s rules, policies, and applicable law.
