We have launched a fundraising campaign to establish Israel’s first Pre-Police Preparatory Academy in memory of Israeli hero Staff Sgt. Rani Guili, the son of Itzik and Talik Guili.
Rani served in a special unit of the Israel Police in the Negev region. On the morning of October 7th, he went out to fight in the Gaza border communities and protect the residents. He was killed in combat during an encounter with Hamas terrorists who had infiltrated Kibbutz Alumim, and his body was taken into Gaza.
On October 7th, Rani was staying at his parents’ home while recovering from an accident in which he had broken his shoulder. Even so, he refused to stand aside and went out to fight. According to his friends, Rani was at the front of the force, leading with calm determination and courage. In extraordinary bravery, Rani and his team eliminated dozens of terrorists and saved many lives.
Rani was a hero. A fearless fighter. Always the first to step forward. A role model for every future Israeli police officer. That is why we decided to establish this program in his memory a program that will set a standard for the next generation and instill in its participants the values that defined Rani.
