The "Just Smile" organization was founded in 2022 by Maor Wolf and Benny Spierer, two 14-year-old teenagers from Jerusalem, in memory of the late Ronit Wolf, Maor's older sister, who tragically passed away by suicide. The organization's mission is to fund psychological treatment for individuals struggling with suicidality who cannot afford the high costs of therapy, as well as to raise public awareness about mental health and promote open dialogue on the subject. The idea for the association was born when Maor realized how critical professional support is during difficult moments—moments where the distance between life and death is narrow—and wanted to prevent the next tragedy. As part of its awareness-raising activities, the association has held conferences and public events featuring artists such as Natan Goshen, Raviv Kaner, Avraham Tal, Avihai Hollander, Guy Hochman, and Liran Danino. This is a deeply moving and inspiring initiative, born out of profound personal pain and transformed into a powerful force for mental health in Israel. This is where I come into the picture. My name is Uri, I have just finished a pre-military academy (Mechina) year, and I am enlisting in the army in six months. Until my enlistment, I have set a goal to raise 250,000 Shekels for Maor’s organization. I am doing this through a group of people who run in suits during races, which sparks conversation around the topic and directs donors to our page via the barcode you just scanned.
