Behind every one of these initiatives is a woman. A young woman who dreams of pursuing higher education, but needs a scholarship and someone to believe in her along the way. A girl looking for confidence, a sense of belonging, and a place where she can dream big. A woman who wants to grow, lead, and make her voice heard. A mother seeking a supportive community that will be there for her. A family coping with loss and bereavement, in need of a space for resilience, support, and hope. We want to be there for them. What will your donations make possible?💛 We will provide educational scholarships for Ethiopian-Israeli women and young women, enabling them to pursue higher education and create new opportunities for their future. 💛 We will expand our guidance and support programs for higher education – from taking the first step through enrollment and beyond. 💛 We will develop resilience and empowerment programs in additional communities across Israel. 💛 We will create new opportunities for girls and young women, giving them tools, confidence, and a sense of belonging. 💛 We will train and nurture a new generation of community leaders. 💛 We will hold workshops, retreats, and spaces for women to grow, connect, and empower one another. 💛 We will expand our support programs for families coping with loss and bereavement. 💛 We will reach thousands more women and girls and enable them to become part of a strong, connected, and influential community. Donations will be used to expand the organization's activities and programs, including educational scholarships, and are not intended for personal financial assistance. How did it all begin?35 years ago, I came to Israel from Ethiopia as an eight-year-old girl as part of Operation Solomon. I grew up between two worlds. I experienced firsthand the challenges of integration, the feeling of being an outsider, the gaps, and the search for belonging. But alongside the challenges, I also discovered something else – the incredible power of women. Mothers who never gave up. Girls who dared to dream. Women who chose to grow, lead, and create opportunities for themselves, their families, and their communities. From this place, I founded the Ethiopian Women Empowering Women Association. What began as a small and modest community initiative has, over the years, grown into a nationwide movement. Today, our community includes approximately 18,000 women across 30 communities throughout Israel, and every week, more women and girls join us, seeking to learn, grow stronger, develop, connect, and lead. We are already seeing the changeEvery year, hundreds of women and girls participate in our programs, workshops, training sessions, support processes, and community activities. But behind the numbers are the women themselves. A woman who dared to believe in herself again. A young woman who was given the opportunity to study. A girl who realized that her voice matters too. A woman who discovered that she can lead and make an impact. A mother who found community and a place where she belongs. Because when a woman grows stronger - a family grows stronger. When a woman leads - a community grows. And when a woman is given an opportunity - the impact reaches far beyond her.
