Barkai Graduation and Prize Ceremony

Barkai was founded to build real community in the State of Israel. We do it through the community rabbis and rabbaniot we train and mentor, working toward living, connected communities where every single person has a place. Today our rabbis serve in more than a hundred communities across the country, standing with their people in the everyday and in the hardest moments alike. Since October 7th we’ve raised and given close to six million shekels, for equipment for soldiers, support for the families of the fallen, help for the wounded and their families, and a hand to families hit by the financial strain of reserve duty and everything else this war has brought. That’s what being a community rabbi is really about: showing up for your people, each and every one of them, when it matters most.
