Ilan Nahalim Camp 2026

Remembering Uriel Aviad Silverman
Donors: 86
CFor over 20 years, we have been voluntarily holding a camp for children with physical disabilities in Moshav Nahalim from the Ilan organization. 30 children with special needs from all over the country come to the camp for five days of experience and fun. Our goal at the camp is to disconnect them from their difficult and painful routine in order to infuse them and their parents with strength to continue their daily struggles. At the camp, each camper is joined by two teenagers who accompany them throughout the camp and take care of all their needs from morning to evening. At the camp, there are about 15 children with physical disabilities and about 15 girls on the autistic spectrum. The staff, mentors, and campers together number about 120 people in total.
Uriel Aviad Silverman, who fell on 3rd Shevat 5774 in the Iron Swords War in the Battle of Gaza, was part of the Ilan camp since he was a teenager as a mentor, and in recent years served as head of the technical team, and took wholehearted care of all the campers and instructors.
Everyone loved him very much and he will be greatly missed at the next camp
