Beit BaMasa — the place where travelers find a home, community and meaning.
Hundreds of thousands of young Israelis set out each year on the "big trip," many of them immediately after discharge from regular service or long reserve duty. At this central crossroads — between uniform and civilian life — the "big trip" is much more than travel: it is a unique opportunity for growth, connection, searching and shaping identity. We want to be there for them during their journey.
Out of this understanding, in August 2026 we are opening "Beit BaMasa" in Bir. The house is being established to serve as an anchor and a space for growth for travelers, built on three main pillars:
1. An open, unifying home
A welcoming and embracing space open to all parts of Israeli society. A place that allows travelers from diverse backgrounds to meet as equals, form deep connections and build together a strong, cohesive Israeli community.
2. A broad and deep Judaism
The house is grounded in a rooted, accessible and open Jewish spirit. On Shabbats and holidays the house will provide a framework for the thousands of travelers who wish to mark these days together. During the week there will be Jewish learning sessions to help travelers shape the next level of their Jewish-Israeli identity.
3. Workshops for personal development
The house will provide tools for personal growth through workshops in coaching, mindfulness and yoga, as well as guided meetings on issues that occupy young people at this stage of their lives.
Your partnership is their doorway
The presence of Beit BaMasa is a critical anchor for our travelers.
Our goal: to provide, in every house we establish with God’s help, support for about 7,000 travelers per year.
Your impact: for one year of operation of a single house we need 500,000 NIS. Your contribution will enable us to give every traveler a warm home filled with Judaism, spirit and heart.
Who are we?
This year, the Arzei Halevanon Association (nonprofit) decided to expand its activities for Israeli society and to establish Beit BaMasa together with Noam Dahan. For years the association has operated leading pre-military academies for both men and women, educating generations of young Israeli leaders who are ethical and committed. Tamara and Noam Dahan will lead and manage the house. Noam, a graduate of the mechina, brings rich experience in teaching, guidance and facilitation in religious, secular and mixed pre-military frameworks alike. The house will operate in this spirit — of connection, listening and openness — and will be a warm, family-like and embracing address for graduates of various mechinot and for all travelers.
