A Warm Place for Our Soldiers & Wounded Veterans A powerful place of strength and spirit. A big heart for our heroes.Help Us Build a Pina Chama for IDF Soldiers and Wounded VeteransHello, My name is Ofir Engelsman. I am a husband, a father of four, and a resident of Asael in the southern Hebron Hills. During an operational mission in the Hebron area, a terrorist attempted to run me over and kill me. By great miracles from the Creator, my life was spared. Tragically, however, I was critically wounded and lost my leg in the attack. Since then, I have been on a long and challenging journey of rehabilitation that has now lasted more than a year and a half. It was דווקא מתוך המקום הזה — דווקא מתוך my own personal struggle and my firsthand understanding of the long and difficult road faced by wounded IDF soldiers — that an idea was born. An idea that I believe can give strength to others: To build a "Pina Chama" — a warm and welcoming place for IDF soldiers and wounded veterans.Near the community of Eshel in the southern Hebron Hills, we want to create a warm, comfortable and refreshing home — a place where soldiers and wounded veterans can stop for a moment, breathe, refresh themselves, recharge their physical and emotional batteries, and know that people are thinking about them. A place with good food, comfort, treats, rest, friendship and support — but above all, a place that feels like home. The Pina Chama will be initiated and managed by Ofir, together with the volunteer group "B'Koach HaRuach VeHaNeshama", which supports IDF veterans wounded physically and emotionally, under the leadership of Kobi Zilber, and Yashar LaChayal, which has been supporting IDF soldiers and wounded veterans for many years. The estimated cost of building the Pina Chama is 400,000 NIS, and it will serve as the heart and foundation of this project. But we want to do much more. Our overall campaign goal is 1,000,000 NIS. Reaching this goal will allow us to expand our support for soldiers and wounded veterans and address additional needs, including: • Food packages for families of wounded veterans who are in need • Technology and equipment to help wounded veterans with education, training and employment • Specialized medical and rehabilitation products and equipment • Dedicated recreational and respite activities for wounded veterans in Israel and abroad But it all begins with one place. The Pina Chama. The home we will build together. As someone who has been seriously wounded, I know firsthand how important support and assistance can be. I know how much the word "together" means during a period of rehabilitation, pain and uncertainty. Now I want to create that place for others. And I need you with me.Every donation, large or small, brings us one step closer to building this home. And if you are unable to donate, you can still make a tremendous difference: share this campaign with one or two people close to you, and ask them to pass it on to others. Person by person. Family by family. Together, we can reach as many people as possible and build a place that gives strength and spirit to our brave soldiers and wounded veterans. Let’s build them a warm place — a place of comfort, support and unity. Let’s give them a place to stop, recharge, regain their strength and keep moving forward. Together, we will build a home. Together, we will strengthen our heroes. Together, we will give them the strength to keep going. With Hashem's help, we will succeed. Please note: JGive charges processing and operational fees for this campaign.
