Tanach Palmach

Tanach Palmach is an outdoor hiking and field -based program centered on a connection to the Tanach and the Land of Israel. The program operates under the auspices of Ein Prat - Nofei Prat, in the Judean Desert. The program was established after October 7, out of a sense that Israeli youth need a deep, living, and direct connection to the Jewish story and to the land of Israel. The tragedy and unity that emerged are not enough on their own to shape the future. The country needs resilience and spirit, and these are not built within the walls of a classroom, but out in the field. Hiking the trails of the land, encountering history and the Tanach in the very places where these events took place, carrying equipment on one’s back, and transforming shared hardship into trust and connection. Groups bringing together secular and religious participants from across the country, serving as a microcosm of the Jewish people.
