IDF Battalion 5035

We are the reservists of Reserve Battalion 5035, “HaBokea,” veterans of the Nahal and Paratroopers Brigades. In our civilian lives, we are high-tech professionals, teachers, self-employed individuals, farmers, fathers, and spouses from across Israel. Since the events of October 7, 2023, many of us have been called up for reserve duty time and again, leaving behind our routines, workplaces, and families to serve out of a deep sense of responsibility and commitment. Over this period, we have accumulated hundreds of days of reserve duty through prolonged and demanding rotations. This extended period has taken a personal and family toll. Alongside our commitment to service, it is important to us to maintain our unit’s spirit, strengthen the bonds between our members, and support the resilience and sense of belonging of our reservists and their families. We are therefore launching a crowdfunding campaign to provide morale support, social and team-building activities, appreciation, and assistance with the community and family support network surrounding our reservists. Our fundraising goal is ₪100,000 (approximately $33,000). All funds will be managed with full transparency and in partnership with the nonprofit organization supporting our battalion. The organization holds Israeli Section 46 approval, making eligible donations entitled to a tax benefit in Israel and may be tax-deductible in the U.S, the U.K and Canada. The funds will be used for welfare, team-building, and morale support for our reservists and their families. Your contribution is about much more than a financial donation — it is a way of saying to our reservists and their families: “We are with you.” It is an opportunity to take part in mutual support, strengthen the bonds of friendship, and provide a caring support network to people who have been carrying the burden of reserve service for such a long time. Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference to us. With sincere thanks and appreciation, The Reservists of Reserve Battalion 5035 “HaBokea”
