Beit Hashita pool
By Kibutz Bet Hashita
Bringing the water back
TBDThe Beit HaShita pool was built about 70 years ago by kibbutz members, and since then, despite the improvements and renovations it has required, its condition has deteriorated to its current state, in which it can no longer be operated for the benefit of the community's 1,400 residents.
The pool was always a magnet for culture and social gatherings, and since its closure, that gathering place has been missing — residents are now forced to travel to pools in neighboring pools.
