Rescue and Emergency

he heart pounds. Yonatan, 17, stands in the corner of the room after another argument at home and promises himself he'll change. By day he's a student at a technological high school; by night he dreams of a place where he can feel meaning, respect, and responsibility. In his first lesson in the rescue and emergency response track he learned how to read a victim's body language, tie a rope correctly, and calm a frightened person — and he found something else there: a direction for his life. We at the Center for Secondary and Torah Vocational Training, founded by the Association of Religious Working Youth in Israel, work to give adolescents a sense of dignity and a real opportunity. In our rescue and emergency response track at the technical institute we teach more than technical skills — first aid, building extrication, field navigation, and the use of rescue equipment — along with value education, Torah study, and ongoing secondary-torah guidance that prepare them not only for work but for meaningful service in the army and in society. This is not just another classroom; it is an environment where at-risk youth become responsible team members who save lives and take charge of their futures. We have the teachers, the commitment, and the curriculum — but we lack the equipment and resources to take the program to the next level. Your donation will fund essential lifesaving gear: mobile training units, professional bandages, stretchers, helmets, radio systems, and simulation equipment for emergency scenarios. It will enable additional professional instructors to run field exercises, attend accredited certification courses, and bring students to joint drills with rescue units and the army. Beyond equipment, donations will provide scholarships for students in need — for whom training costs can be a barrier — and buses to transport them to off-site trainings. Your contribution will allow Yonatan and his peers to receive hands-on training, earn professional certificates, and open doors to military service and meaningful lives. Even now, program graduates go on to serve in operational units, join firefighting and rescue teams, and volunteer in their communities — but the potential is much greater. Be part of this story: donating is giving a chance to a struggling youth, to a teacher who believes, and to a community that grows stronger. Every shekel brings Yonatan closer to a place where he saves lives and builds a future. Join us in the rescue and emergency response track — together we will open doors, strengthen people, and save futures.
