Expanding "Ohel Yitzchak": Restoring the Glory of Moroccan Jewish Tradition in Har Bracha

In the heart of Samaria, in the community of Har Bracha, sits a unique spiritual gem: the Ohel Yitzchak Synagogue. In today's fast-paced world, ancient traditions often fade into museums or fragmented memories. At Ohel Yitzchak, the heritage of Moroccan Jewry is not mere folklore—it is a living, breathing way of life. The liturgy, the melodies, the Halachic precision, the exact pronunciation in Torah reading, and the education of our children—everything is preserved in its full purity, exactly as it was for centuries, generation after generation. When visitors who grew up in Morocco step into our sanctuary, their eyes fill with tears: "You’ve brought us back home." Ten-year-old children read from the Torah with meticulous grammar, and entire families choose to make their homes in Har Bracha specifically because of this vibrant community and its authentic voice. Our Challenge: Our sanctuary is packed to capacity. With our growing congregation and rising demand, our current space can no longer hold us. As seen on-site, we have already poured the concrete foundations and floor for the new extension, and we must now complete the building in time for the upcoming High Holidays.
