Dear Partners and Friends, Since 1909, the Jerusalem Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has been the home for the abandon animals in Jerusalem and its surroundings. Since the Ottoman period, through the British Mandate, the establishment of the state, all of Israel wars and to this day, our society has done everything in its power for these animals. Thanks to your support over the years, we have fulfilled our mission to provide animals with shelter, healthy food, quality medical care, rehabilitation, and finding forever homes. Unfortunately, the past year has "hit" us again and again. The annual government support was canceled as if it never existed, many foundations have significantly reduced their support compared to previous years, the dollar exchange rate that significantly affected the value of donations in foreign currency, the general cost of living increased the high maintenance costs of our shelter, all this put us on the eve of the NEW YEAR, facing a broken trough. Our society is strong, and I am sure that we will know how to get out of this situation and progress towards a better future and towards a new shelter for the animals. But now, we are desperate for your help! Without immediate fundraising of approximately 150,000 shekels, we may reach a point where suppliers will stop delivering us food, medicine and equipment that are so essential to our daily functioning.
