August 1966 Gathering

In August 1966, we volunteered to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade, 890 Battalion, Company A, driven by a desire to make a meaningful contribution through combat service. We went through a demanding year of training — long marches, exercises, sleepless nights and countless challenges that shaped us not only as soldiers, but also as friends and brothers. At the end of our training, we went on to serve as combat soldiers in the Six-Day War. Nearly 60 years have passed since then. Time has moved on and our lives have changed, but the friendship and camaraderie forged during those days have remained strong throughout the years and continue to be part of our lives today. The special bond created among us is a testament to the power of true friendship — born from shared experiences, military service and the unique brotherhood of soldiers. Now, 60 years later, we want to celebrate that friendship, that brotherhood, and the memories we share — and come together once again to mark six decades of a bond that has endured to this day.
