Taking Jerusalem’s “Burj Khalifa” to the Supreme Court!

Our Last Chance to Stop Jerusalem’s “Burj Khalifa”! After fighting this project through the planning committees and making our case before the District Court, we are now seeking to take the matter to the highest and final judicial authority—the Supreme Court. This is truly our last chance to stop the project. Mount Herzl, Israel’s national memorial site, is the last place where a flashy skyscraper should be built. Narrow financial interests must not be allowed to override the feelings of bereaved families or come at the expense of the dignity of the national memorial sites at Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem. Approving this tower would set a dangerous precedent, making it far more difficult to prevent a wave of skyscrapers from transforming the city. Taking our appeal to the Supreme Court comes with substantial costs, including court fees and the risk of being ordered to cover legal expenses. To take on this final battle, we need your support. We pledge that every shekel raised will be used exclusively to cover the legal and public campaign costs of this fight. If any funds remain after the Supreme Court petition has been exhausted, they will be used to support efforts to preserve the character and identity of Jerusalem through responsible planning.
