Maccabi Tel Aviv Sports Club (R.A.)

Maccabi Tel Aviv is the oldest, largest and most successful sports club in Israel, fielding teams and individual athletes in 22 different sports. The club was founded in 1906, before the establishment of the State of Israel, and adopted the colors of Zionism - blue and white. In the 1940s, the club adopted the color yellow as a symbol of identification with the yellow patch that Jews were forced to wear during the Holocaust, thus transforming the color yellow from a symbol of the oppressed and humiliated Jew into a symbol of achievement, pride, Zionism and victory. Maccabi Tel Aviv strives for victory and success in all sports, in which over 4,000 athletes (men, women, boys and girls) are active, while educating in values and mutual respect. Maccabi Tel Aviv is synonymous with success in sports, and sports constitute a platform for connecting Jews from around the world, for Zionism and for putting the State of Israel and the Jewish people on the map.
