israel Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis Association provides access to paid professional counselors who are available every week to support patients and their families. Our counselors include a gastroenterologist, a hospital gastroenterology nurse, a registered dietitian, a psychologist, a Social Security benefits and rights specialist, and other professionals. These experts provide patients and their families with immediate, personalized guidance and support when they need it most. In 2026, due to budget constraints, we were forced to cut the counseling hours by 50%. This was a very difficult decision for us, as these services are an essential source of support for many patients and their families. A donation of $50,000 would allow us to restore the counseling hours that were cut. A donation of $100,000 would allow us not only to restore those hours, but also to significantly expand the number of counseling hours available to patients and their families.
