Embracing Rotem and Her Children ❤️ They have lost their father. Let's help them hold on to their sense of security. There are moments in life when everything changes. When a family's entire world is turned upside down, and a future that once seemed secure becomes a daily struggle to meet even the most basic needs. This is the story of Rotem, a mother of two children, ages 9 and 12, who lost their beloved father to a devastating illness. Throughout 15 years of marriage, Rotem and her husband built a loving family. Their two children came into this world after years of fertility treatments, struggle, pain, and above all, an abundance of love. Life was not always kind to them. After the collapse of their family business, they faced significant debts and financial hardship. Yet they did everything in their power to raise their children with dignity. And then came the illness. Nearly two years ago, Rotem's husband fell ill and required repeated hospitalizations and prolonged medical treatments. Rotem became the family's sole provider, struggling to balance work, caring for her sick husband, and maintaining a sense of preserving a sense of routine and security for their children. Through it all, they held on to the hope that he would recover and that their family would eventually rebuild its life. After a year and a half of unimaginable hardship, his physical condition deteriorated significantly. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer that had spread to his brain. Just two months later, in May 2026, he passed away suddenly. His death left his family, and all of us who knew and cared about them, devastated. Two children lost their father. Rotem lost the love of her life, her partner, and the person she had dreamed of growing old with. Ever since, she has been trying to hold their entire world together, all on her own. The family lives in a small rented apartment in a community in the Galilee, in northern Israel. They are struggling under the weight of debts accumulated during his illness, while facing deep uncertainty about what lies ahead. Rotem works hard and does everything she can to provide for her children, but her income is simply not enough to cover their basic living expenses. As the children grow, so do their needs, along with Rotem's determination to give them a stable foundation in a world that has been shaken to its core. Children who have lost their father should not have to live in fear of losing their family's financial security as well. This is where we come in ❤️ We cannot bring their father back. A Personal Message from Rotem: "I have always found it difficult to ask for help. I have always believed that if I worked hard enough, if I just pushed myself a little further, I could overcome whatever life brought my way. My husband and I went through so much together, and somehow we always found a way to keep going. Even when he became ill, I believed with all my heart that we would get through it together. And for a long time, we did. But in the end, this time, I was left alone. I look at my two children and see how deeply they miss their father. I know I have to stay strong for them, even in those moments when I feel I have no strength left. Sadly, in the reality that has been forced upon us, covering even our most basic needs has become an almost impossible challenge. I find myself fighting simply to survive. We desperately need every contribution to help us cope with the debts left behind by my husband's illness, meet our ongoing living expenses, and above all, hold on to the hope and belief that we can make it through the coming years with dignity.
