HAVAT ANIM

Anim Farm is a new agricultural settlement established approximately one year ago in the southern Hebron Hills, between the communities of Yatir and Shani Livna, by the Zechariah family. The farm is located in a highly strategic area near the village of Khirbet Ghuwein al-Fauqa, whose residents have settled on an important archaeological site dating back to the First Temple period, known as Upper Khirbet Anim. This is the origin of the name "Anim," which means "sheep" in Aramaic. The farm covers approximately 6,000 dunams (600 hectares) of grazing land. Through its livestock herd and grazing activities, it helps protect the surrounding area and the nearby communities of Yatir and Shani Livna. Thanks to the farm, a Jewish presence has been established in an area where none previously existed. The farm serves as a significant link in the network of agricultural farms that together form a protective belt around the southern Hebron Hills.
