Jroots Journeys

For 20 years, JRoots has been taking people on journeys into the heart of the Jewish story. We travel to the places where Jewish life was lived, where communities flourished, where generations struggled, survived, rebuilt and dreamed, across Europe, North Africa and Israel. But we don't simply take people to these places. We are here to help them discover that the story is theirs. A young person stands in a town square where Jews lived for centuries and suddenly realises, this isn't just history. But these were my people my family. A family finds the street where their grandparents once lived and a name in a family tree becomes a real person, in a real place, with a real story. A group of people who arrived as strangers share an experience that connects them in a way they never expected and return home as a community. This is the power of a JRoots journey. Our expert educators don't just explain what happened. They bring the people, places and stories back to life. They create moments of discovery that can change the way someone sees themselves as a Jew and their responsibility for the Jewish future. Because when history becomes personal, identity becomes personal too. For thousands of people, a JRoots journey has become far more than a trip. It has helped them discover where they come from, why it matters, and what it means to carry the Jewish story forward. But we believe this experience should not belong only to those who can afford it. There is a generation searching, on a journey for connection, meaning and belonging and your donation can help put a young person on that journey. It can help someone discover their roots. It can help someone reconnect with their Jewish story. It can help someone return home with a deeper sense of who they are and a stronger commitment to where the Jewish people are going. Help us to let them discover that the Jewish story isn't just something they learn. It's their story. And its next chapter is theirs to write.
