Lev Zahav Fund" in memory of Genia Golda Brill"

Helping children with deafness be all they can be

Donors: 350

The road that a hearing-impaired child must travel to become integrated into society is filled with challenges. In order to successfully complete this journey there is a need for many speech therapy hours, complementary therapies, a teaching assistant in the classroom or kindergarten, replacement of hearing aids and amplification systems when needed. Many of these expenses are not sufficiently covered by the Israeli Health system, and not all families can afford the extra expense. On March 17th of this year, AV Israel and hearing-impaired children were struck by a tragedy. Genia Brill, an outstanding AV speech therapist, a strong advocate for their complete integration into school and society, and totally dedicated to helping them and their families, passed away suddenly at the age of 47. Her love, patience, boundless enthusiasm and determination went far beyond the boundaries of her work. As a project in Genia’s memory, the family together with AV Israel is initiating the Genia Golda Lev Zahav Fund. This will enable needy families to cover expenses for the services that are not covered completely by the Israeli Health System. Through this fund, Genia’s family, together with AV, would like to keep her tremendous spirit and kindness alive. Please help us turn this dream into a reality.
