Ilia Marin's ALYN Ride Campaign

My name is Ilia Marin, I am 30 years old from Jerusalem. I was born with Cerebral Palsy in St. Petersburg in USSR, at age 3 my parents made Aliyah and I was raised in Jerusalem. As a child I started my way in the “Gan Shikumi” in Jerusalem and at that time I would come to Alyn to borrow games. Those games helped me develop my social skills with the children in my neighborhood. Today I have my BSC degree in computer engineering from the Hebrew university in Jerusalem, where I am now studying for my master's degree in computers science. During my studies I am also working as a computer vision validation engineer at Intel. Alongside my professional career I am an active athlete at the “Etgarim” organization, as a part of the program I have been riding a Tandem bicycle for 15 years, and even participated in and won competitions. I would like to support the next generation of children that are rehabilitating in the Alyn hospital, and give them hope by fulfilling their abilities and reach their achievements. Last year I volunteered in Alyn building solutions for the needs of the children. This year I will be taking an active part in Alyn’s wheels of love ride.
