"In Shemesh's Path" the fifth

The Shemesh Association assists families of low socioeconomic backgrounds and helps them with an extensive renovation of their houses and social facilities around them, in a project called "In Shemesh's Path" that consists of hundreds of volunteers. The Shemesh Association was founded in memory of a friend, Ohad Shemesh, an Israeli soldier who was killed in Gaza during Operation Protective-Edge on July 21st, 2014 at the age of 27 years old. In his 27 life, Ohad was all about giving to others, volunteering, and changing the world from the bottom up. With excellence and leadership that became the routine of his life. The Shemesh Association has a traditional volunteering day, held every year in January. This is the fifth year in which the event is held, and each year we grow and expand. It is a day about people, regardless of race and gender differences. The Shemesh Association is proud and excited to produce this honorable event. Hundreds of volunteers are deployed in dozens of different locations around the city - such as 'sunbeams' that light up darkest areas. Throughout the day, the volunteers participate in many activity centers and thousands of people are influenced by the event, directly and indirectly. We need a donation of NIS 20,000 to complete the purchase of equipment and renovation tools for this day. This money will allow us to meet the needs of the homes that will be renovated and public buildings that will be repaired during the volunteer day, based on past events.
