Help 5 Jewish girls who made aliyah from China

“After 1000 years in exile we’ve returned to the land of our forefathers to learn about our religion and to be once again an inseparable part of our nation.” Five members of the community of the descendants of the Jews from Kaifeng, China, immigrated to Israel about a year and a half ago with the help of Shavei Israel. They have immersed themselves in a comprehensive study and conversion program, a process that they and their families have been waiting for. The program was designed specifically for them and combines Hebrew studies, Jewish studies in Chinese, and more. The girls learn most of the day, and legally cannot work to help defray their many expenses. Shavei Israel finances the entire process from the girls' apartment, the cost of living, and the many expenses of education. The costs are great and their families are unable to support them. Help us continue with the important work of bringing these girls back to their Jewish roots. The cost of a year of study in the program is approximately NIS 270,000 (housing, living expenses and tuition). Donations of any size are most welcome.
