Keren Hesed Maalot

The vision of the Chesed Fund is to connect good people who are able to help with good people who are in need of help. The fund was established entirely by volunteers — a wonderful group of Ma’alot residents who manage the many requests directed to them: assistance for people in need, new immigrants, the elderly, Holocaust survivors, and anyone facing a crisis and requiring support. The group works to find donors for these requests, often in modest amounts that can quite literally prevent families from financial collapse. Every donation to the fund is allocated to a specific request from someone in need and is handled with full responsibility and sensitivity. The Galila Foundation manages the fund on behalf of the volunteers at no additional cost and without any compensation.
