Building A Place In Kiryat Ha'Leom - Chabad

In the vibrant heart of Jerusalem, within walking distance to the city’s business and government centers and adjacent to new entertainment centers sprouting up between well-kept streets and trendy apartment buildings, lies the Kiryat Ha'Leom (the National District) neighborhood, a new neighborhood of about 1,000 families. About seven years ago, Rabbi Yosef Friedman and his wife Anat arrived in the neighborhood with their seven children and began organizing community activities and spreading Judaism with a smile to all residents of all ages. The Kiryat Ha'Leom Chabad House is not only a vibrant Jewish center but also a focus of connection between all residents of the neighborhood. The Chabad House is now an inseparable part of the spirt of the lifestyle and spirit of Kiryat Ha'Leom. To date, all these extensive activities have been organized from carried out in the home of the Friedman family, the Davidovich family, and various places in the neighborhood, but the scope of the activities has outgrown these venues, which are now too small to accommodate them. Now, by the grace of G-d, the Chabad House has received title to a wide space, about 260 square meters, in which all its activities can be conducted for the next 20 years. The building is located on the central boulevard of Kiryat Ha'Leom, strategically located near the Knesset, Cinema City, government office buildings, the new business district, and hotels. The Chabad House received title to a shell structure, without any infrastructure. It is up to us to build the complex and prepare it for use as a Chabad House. The cost of the project is NIS 1,600,000. We appeal to you, via this mass mobilization campaign, to be partners with us. Only together can we make this amazing vision become a reality.
