Disability Inclusive Project

!Open the Doors! Everyone should have access to the Magic of Tzfat As Livnot heads into its 40th year, we look to welcome people who until now have not had access to our activities due to physical or cognitive disabilities. Last year we had over 47,000 visitors (57% increase over 2018) to our complex of tunnels and 16th century excavation, 29,000 of whom participated in our educational activities and workshops. These include Israelis of all ages, Birthright Israel groups and other foreign tourists. Right now, Tzfat is a very challenging place for people with disabilities to visit and enjoy. They deserve better. We would like to change this and make the history and magic of Tzfat accessible to all! We need your help to make this a reality. Our goal is to make the Livnot activities and spaces accessible to people with disabilities. This is Phase One of our “Open the Doors” Project. This phase includes: Physical changes to make the main campus floor accessible, including ramps, entrances and bathroom. Educational Content development to serve people with cognitive (vision, hearing and sensory) disabilities. Technology purchase and application to bring the educational content into the hands of those who cannot currently experience what Livnot is offering. This would be the only such space accessible to people with disabilities in Tzfat's Old City, today. We need your help to make this happen now! $40,000 will allow us to complete all aspects of Phase 1. Phase 2 and 3, under development, would make all sections of the Livnot campus and excavations accessible. This project has great potential to open up parts of the Old City of Tzfat to an underserved population. Please give generously.
