Ensuring the safey of Children at risk

A Home for Every Child in Israel (BILY), is the leading private non-profit organization in Israel that provides services, direct care and protection for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and their families. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this organization is initiating an emergency campaign in order to adjust the care of children who do not have family support, in order to ensure continued quality care and safety. The crisis, in which all Israeli children have to stay at home, is dangerous for many children who are at risk of abuse and neglect. The risk is exacerbated in a more stressful situation and a prolonged stay at home. The discontinuation of the routine care that these children receive in the community, adds an even greater risk. Our organization is currently working intensively on building a care and support system for these children and their families. This preparation requires the organization to invest a great deal of resources in its scope in relation to the ordinary expenses of the association, estimated at approximately NIS 500,000 per month. We must continue to embrace our children and protect the welfare of children at risk in Israel
