Shared Citizenship Through Music

The Promoting Diversity in Israel’s Formal Educational System Through Performing Arts" program was founded by The Morningstar Foundation in 2017. It is a prestigious and unique program which established music matriculation study programs in Arab, Bedouin and Druze high schools where there are few such study tracks as compared to Jewish schools. The aim of the program is to strengthen music studies in Arab, Bedouin and Druze schools while collaborating and deepening familiarity with Jewish schools they are matched up with. It includes joint music and shared citizenship studies, joint meetings and performances, and workshops and seminars at the Rimon School of Contemporary Music. The program is in cooperation with the Ministry of Education - the Supervision of Music Education and the Center for Civic Education and Coexistence, the Merchavim Institute, the Rimon School of Contemporary Music and the Amal Network.
