Advancing our Values, Helping our Students

Donors: 694

The Jerusalem college of Technology - Lev Academic Center aims to provide an answer to the observant public’s need for a suitable Torah environment in which to pursue academic studies. Of course, we also aim much higher than that: Our degrees are every bit as prestigious as those offered by Israel’s other institutions of higher education, and our Torah learning every bit as serious and as vibrant as many of the country’s leading batei midrash and midrashot. Moreover, our separate campuses for men (Lev) and women (Tal) are home to some of the countries’ leading faculties and lecturers, and to a commitment to entrepreneurship and the service of the state as strong as that to Torah values and the religious way of life. The results of this winning combination speak for themselves: We boast a nearly 90 percent rate of employment placement, and consistently receive high praise from employers in Israel’s leading industries. Our graduates have won prestigious awards for their technological breakthroughs on behalf of Israel’s security, while our nurses manage the wards of the country’s leading hospitals and health clinics. Finally, one in five female engineering students in the country is studying at the Tal Campus, making the Lev Academic Center a key part of the pipeline for Israel’s future engineers. There is no doubt that this investment in our students is well worth it—for them, and for the country as a whole. It is particularly devastating, then, that the coronavirus pandemic has made it more difficult for us to provide our students with financial aid. We cannot today grant the amount of scholarships that we would have awarded just one year ago, allowing individuals willing to work hard a chance at supporting themselves with dignity. Perhaps even worse, some of our current students may be forced to abandon their studies mid-degree. Contact Info
