This year, a select group of climbers will trek from the Dead Sea (-400m) to Gokyi Ri in the Everest region (5364m) on behalf of rural communities in extreme poverty. The funds you give will help some of the poorest people on earth break out of the cycle of poverty. Subsistence farmers struggle just to provide food and shelter. Any additional shock, such as sickness or drought, can plunge families to the brink of starvation.
