Desert Stars – New Leadership for the Negev! Desert Stars is inviting you to join our mission of establishing a new generation of leadership among the Bedouin society of the Negev. The present situation of the Bedouin community of the Negev is a strategic issue on a national scale. Today, the Bedouin constitute about a third of the population of the Negev and within the next few decades, they are expected to constitute a half of it. Therefore, any public discussion about the development and future of the Negev must include the Bedouin society. Desert Stars id detecting and fostering young Bedouin with high leadership potential from all families, tribes and towns in the Negev region. The organization provides them a unique and intensive leadership training program of seven years. The program implements a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach that emphasizes higher education, development of life skills, leadership capabilities and social responsibility with the aim of advancing them to the 21st century. This way, the organization is fostering successful leaders whose success serves their community – by being role models and leading social, business and educational initiatives. Desert Stars graduates are agents of change who act to promote the Bedouin community in order to create a positive shared space for all residents of the region. About Desert Stars: Established in 2013, Desert Stars non-profit is fostering a new generation of Bedouin leadership for the Negev. Our vision is based on the believe that ״change must come from within". Therefore, we develop a high quality leadership that grows from within the community. A leadership working toward a better Israeli society. Desert Stars is the only framework that operates on a regional level and connects youths from different tribes and families to one united group of leaders that represents the entire Bedouin community.
