A.H.A.V.A.'s Readathon 2021

When I made Aliyah 40 years ago, I entered my first Israeli classroom as an English teacher. I discovered how difficult it is for children to learn to read English. This is still true today. Despite many efforts, children simply do not have enough time devoted to reading nor access to English books. A.H.A.V.A. has the solution! A project that excites, encourages and rewards students to read intensively at their level in English for 5 continuous weeks! The rules are simple enough: the more pages read – the more prizes earned! Every grade has four reading levels. As a participant reaches a higher level, he/she earns more prizes.
