Yehudim yakarim, this year, we had a desperate need. COVID was overwhelming our communities, and many needed to be taken to the ICU. Once they were in the hospital, their condition often deteriorated rapidly. Once a person has been put on a respirator r”l, it is difficult to take them off. And so we began our effort to collect and donate oxygen concentrators for home use. We now have 120 concentrators being used full time. We also offer volunteers to help with the machines, and advice and guidance of rabbanim and doctors. I cannot stress enough: This is saving lives. Our need is more urgent than ever Right now, the hospitals are overwhelmed and many are declining simply because the staff cannot keep up. If we keep those patients’ oxygen levels high enough for them to stay home, we can save them. We must purchase 100 new concentrators as soon as possible - THIS WEEK, WE HAD TO TURN AWAY 16 FAMILIES.
