Beit HaRav Kook offers a wide variety of classes, seminars and educational tours for groups from all segments of Israeli society and the Jewish world. It is also deeply involved in publishing newly discovered manuscripts and previously unpublished writings of Rav Kook. Despite exhausting legal battles against Beit HaRav mounted by real estate interests in the guise of religious ideology, Beit HaRav is expanding its activities both in the house and outside of it. Dear friends, we are all, in our own way, students of Rav Kook. We call on you to open your hearts and to help us bring the great spirit and Torah of Rav Kook to all segments of the Nation of Israel. Your donations are dedicated to expanding our programming and respond to the strong thirst that there is in Israeli society for learning Torat HaRav. With the help of your donations we will be able to advance important initiatives: • Expansion of our educational seminars at Beit HaRav and outside of it. • Development and use of advanced digital techniques to transmit the materials. • Publication of unpublished writings of Rav Kook. • Establishing a computerized documentation center for research and dissemination of Rav Kook’s writings. • Building a multimedia website for publicizing Torat HaRav Kook. • Creating classes, home and community based study groups in Torat HaRav. We are happy to share with you some of our activities in the past year: • Hundreds of group and individual tours and visits to Beit HaRav with over 10,000 participants. • Ten two-day excursions recreating Rav Kook’s 1913 visit to the new chalutzic communities being created in Israel, offered in Hebrew, English and French. • Holiday celebration and seminars for young people- with over 3,000 participants. • Publication of new books- Letters of Rav Kook, Literary Approbations from Rav Kook, The Shepherd of Israel (for children), “Seeing Rav Kook”-Accounts from people in his life, Bring Forth Light and more. • Opening new and interesting exhibits for Beit HaRav visitors. • Continuing and growing daily and Shabbat tefillot in the Beit HaMidrash. • Ongoing weekly classes at Beit HaRav. • An evening kollel, and a Friday morning kollel for the general community. • Weekly “LeOroh-To His Light”, HaRayah On The Parsha- and monthly “Meged Yerachim” newsletters publicizing Torat HaRav. • Expanding the documentation center with thousands of new and rare letters from and to Rav Kook. • Activities with school children, Bar and Bat Mitzva celebrations and strengthening our ties with growing Torah communities.
