Friends donate a birthday present to Eitan Tiger

In short: a meaningful birthday- Fundraising campaign for Holocaust survivors. So on the seventh of Pesach it was my Hebrew birthday and on April 23rd my Gregorian birthday and I wanted to do something significant. Two months ago, with the help of my friends, I raised an estimated NIS 1,500 (!!) for my preparatory course. With all due respect to the mechina, there are more urgent things. So I decided to raise money to help Holocaust survivors. Why them? Because to honor the elderly, because thanks to them we are here, because they went through the worst of all and they deserve to live with dignity, because my birthday is always close to Holocaust Remembrance Day and it is thought-provoking, because I am the grandson of Holocaust survivors and my grandfather, the person I admire is a Holocaust survivor himself. I chose the "Spring for Holocaust Survivors" organization because they work for the long term by exercising the rights that Holocaust survivors deserve and not just one-off things. That is, there are Holocaust survivors who do not know about some of the grants / benefits they are entitled to and the organization helps them realize them. Sometimes these are monthly and / or annual allowances that are worth a lot of money, or even several hundred shekels that can significantly help those Holocaust survivors. To those who say it's the job of the government I say: you are right! But in the meantime, about 15,000 Holocaust survivors die every year and time is running out and the work is plentiful. We do not have time to wait.
