Support Ethiopian-Israeli Youth in Lod

Help Ethiopian youth start the new school year on a path to success by ensuring they receive support from morning til night. You can be a partner by supporting projects that are effecting change in the city of Lod during and after school hours. During school: Fidel's professional staff of Mediators work with parents, children and teachers as advocates to overcome cultural and social obstacles and ensure scholastic achievement and social integration. They prevent dropouts, improve social integration and strengthen inter-generational bonds. After School: Fidel's network of Youth Centers serve as a second home to teens (including non-Ethiopian) with a dedicated staff that provides steadfast emotional and social support while serving as role models . The centers offer enrichment activities ensuring that the youth spend their leisure hours in a 'safe zone' acquiring skills and developing self-confidence that will ultimately lead to their future success. Fidel programs also nurture a sense of pride in the Beta Israel's unique identity.
