Shemesh Association in annual fundraising for underprivileged populations

Shemesh association recruits to help families, children, and teenagers from low socio-economic backgrounds. The association launches a broad recruitment campaign in order to fulfill the association's annual activities, which aim to reduce gaps and support underprivileged populations, along with an extensive activity that includes the renovation of homes and social institutions of underprivileged populations. The association has been operating for 6 years, during which we have been able to help hundreds of families and many thousands of people in need. Even during the Covid-19 period, we did not stop and the association was able to implement projects that contributed greatly to the community and the youth in need of assistance. Shemesh was founded in May 2015 in memory of Ohad Shemesh who fell in battle in Khan Yunis as an intelligence operation-fighter during the Protective Edge war in Gaza on July 21, 2014, while only 27 years old. In his 27 years, Ohad has driven the ways of giving, excellence, and leadership, which have become the routine of his life. Shemesh association was established to continue Ohad's work by doing social work and contributing to the community. The association works in collaboration with authorities and educational institutions to reach populations that need our help, and specify for us the existing needs. We implemented many donations and volunteering activities, including sports equipment donations, setting up a computer room, donating food cards to supermarkets, donating backpacks to school, and more. Hundreds of the association's volunteers take part in the association's annual project - "Yom Beyikvot Hashemesh". The traditional volunteer day is a day that is all about people for people, regardless of religion, race, or gender. The Shemesh association is proud and excited to produce this prestigious event which is connected to the values ​​and way of Ohad. Hundreds of volunteers are deployed in dozens of different centers in the city of Ashdod - like rays of sun that come to illuminate dark areas. Throughout the day, many people volunteer, in dozens of activity centers, for thousands of people in large circles of influence. In order to carry out the association's activities in the coming year, we need your help. We need a donation of 30,000 NIS which will enable us to fulfill the association's goals.
