Dalia Coldham's 2018 ALYN Ride Campaign

A journey in memory of Noga brings new life to ALYN's children I joined Wheels of Love for the first time for the sole purpose of meeting an American doctor. Dr. Andy Seidman came to Israel to ride in Wheels of Love. After doing lots of research, I just knew he was the world expert who could help with the treatment of my friend Noga Weisel. I knew that if I could pedal next to him up those crazy inclines on the road to Jerusalem, I could also ride my way straight into his heart. And it worked. For a whole year following our ride together, Dr. Seidman treated, counseled, and gave heartfelt support to Noga. That time added another year to her life. But that year happened to be Noga’s last. She passed away after living a life full of beauty, joy, fun, and wonder. For me, this journey, which began simply to meet Dr. Seidman, became a journey in the memory of Noga. Thanks to her, I joined, trained for, and experienced this wonderful event. It’s a massive physical and emotional journey taken by riders from all over the world in Israel for five days. The purpose? Simply to donate a huge sum of money for the children's hospital, ALYN, in Jerusalem. A journey completed through the legs that pedaled all of the ups and downs of my country. ALYN hospital does sacred work. It is a long-term rehabilitation center for children suffering from accidents and serious injuries. It’s a place that saves children's lives every day. The staff there are heavenly angels. It is a great privilege to ride Wheels of Love and contribute to this amazing place. The training gets easier for me when I think of the exalted significance of this journey--a journey in memory of Noga, which helps to give these children a new life. This year Dr. Seidman and I will ride in ALYN riding shirts that says: "Team Noga"
