Modern Agriculture Foundation

The Modern Agriculture Foundation (MAF) is dedicated to accelerating the transition to sustainable food systems, with a strong focus on the development of alternative proteins as a replacement for conventional animal-based products. This mission is driven by the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing harm to animals, and aligning with the UN's climate and sustainability targets. MAF fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and women's leadership in the FoodTech sector, working to create systemic change by connecting academia, industry, government, and investors. The foundation leads a strong international community of women in FoodTech, operates a leadership development program for women in the sector, and actively supports AgriFoodTech entrepreneurs in Israel and worldwide – while encouraging global collaborations to promote Israeli innovation on the international stage. MAF hosts professional conferences and networking events, delivers inspirational and educational lectures on food innovation and Israel’s leadership in the field, and works to make knowledge accessible to the public while building impactful connections across the FoodTech ecosystem. Each year, the foundation holds a special event honoring Leading Women in FoodTech, in recognition of excellence, innovation, and influence in the industry.
