A new school year. A new chance.

Let's Turn Classrooms Into Places of Health
Donors: 60
Schools are one of the most powerful places to stop disease.
They reach children early, shape lifelong habits, and turn health education into everyday practice. But across Ethiopia, too many schools still lack the basics. Without clean water, soap, or safe toilets, hygiene breaks down. And when hygiene breaks down, disease spread.
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) like intestinal worms and bilharzia (schistosomiasis) thrive in these conditions. They cause pain, fatigue, and malnutrition. They keep children out of school. But they are preventable.
In schools where NALA has worked, disease rates have dropped by as much as 89 percent. Parents are leading school health clubs. Teachers are weaving hygiene into daily lessons. Children are teaching each other what they’ve learned. When communities have the tools, the knowledge, and the support, they protect their children. And they do it with strength and pride.
Because when health becomes part of school, children stay healthy. They stay in class. And they stay on track for the future they deserve. A safe school is more than a building. It is where futures are shaped and where prevention begins.
There are still thousands of children waiting for that chance. Together, we can reach the next school. The next family. The next future.
Help start the school year with clean water, safe toilets, and health.
Your donation puts practical tools into the hands of communities who are ready to lead.
