J.S.P.C.A Jerusalem Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

JSPCA provides shelter and care for Jerusalem’s homeless animal population. The clinic in Talpiot and their large shelter in Atarot provide a safe place for the animals of Jerusalem to find the care and love they deserve. At the Atarot shelter, animals are provided with shelter, food, medical care, and basic human compassion until the day they are adopted. JSPCA operates with the help of 150 generous volunteers who ensure that all operations run smoothly and with care. The shelter deals with issues such as the feral cat population in Jerusalem, which has continued to skyrocket for decades, leaving many cats alone on the streets without food, shelter, or medicine. JSPCA provides spaying and neutering services to help keep the homeless animal population in check.At the same time, many street dogs and dogs of owners who have become unable to provide the basic necessities for their pets to live a happy, healthy life find their way to the shelter.
