Or LaChinuch

Or LaChinuch has been working since 2008 to provide children and youth in Israel’s social and geographic periphery with opportunities to grow, feel a sense of belonging, and believe in themselves. At the heart of our program is a unique mentoring model: high school students personally mentor sixth-grade students during the important transition to middle school, with the program led locally by university students who receive scholarships and manage each branch. Every week, mentors and mentees meet for individual and group activities designed to strengthen social skills, resilience, self-confidence, and leadership. Today, Or LaChinuch operates in dozens of schools and communities across Israel, from the south to the north, bringing together hundreds of children, teenagers, and university students in a growing circle of mentoring, belonging, and positive impact. Your donation enables us to continue operating our branches, train and support our mentors, and reach more children and young people who need someone to see them, believe in them, and walk alongside them.
