Netiv Tefachot: Building the Galilee, Shaping the Future Founded in 2001 in the Merom Galil Regional Council, Netiv Tefachot is dedicated to strengthening the Galilee through education, community building, and social responsibility. At the heart of our mission is Yeshivat Tefachot, a Hesder Yeshiva where students combine rigorous Torah study with community volunteering. When drafted, they fulfill their civic duty by defending the country, and later in life, they become productive, contributing citizens. Our graduates and their families form a thriving community near the Yeshiva, deeply committed to Torah values, Zionism, and regional development. Beyond Torah Learning: Addressing Social Challenges in the Galilee We operate a Regional Volunteer Center that engages students and local residents in meaningful initiatives, including: • Supporting Local Education – Leading informal educational programs and mentoring primary school children. • Empowering Families – Offering respite for parents of children with special needs and running programs to alleviate financial stress through weekly food basket distributions. • Caring for the Elderly – Combating loneliness through personal visits, memoir-writing, and practical assistance. • Emergency Response Team – Many students volunteer as EMTs, providing critical aid in the region. • Sustaining the Land – Managing a 70-dunam olive grove leased from KKL, where Yeshiva students and local youth care for the trees and harvest grapes to produce wine. This initiative fosters a deep connection with nature and provides a practical expression of the mitzvah of working the land. New Horizons in Tiberias Recognizing the need to expand our influence, we recently launched a pioneering outreach initiative in Tiberias, placing young Yeshiva families in underserved neighborhoods. Through community activities, Torah classes, and mentorship programs, we are revitalizing the city’s spiritual and social fabric.
