Shaalim

Shaalim, from the fundation of Shaalei Torah, is a nation-wide network which serves as a pioneer of the renewed Zionism. The network succeeds in leading a real social revolution for thirty years. By the establishment of Seed Programs spread all over the country, Shaalei Torah combines educational Torah activity ["Shaalim"] and welfare activities and charity projects ["Shaalei Tikva"]. The first Garin was established in Beit Shemesh in 1988 by the families of graduates of Yeshivat Sha'alvim, under the leadership of Rabbi Rahamim Nisimi, and over the years Beit Shemesh has established kindergartens, schools, a yeshiva high school, a girls' ulpana and a warm home for children at risk and populations with special needs. Beit Shemesh serves as a role model for other network seeds. The Garinim, which were established by Shaalim, are now spread throughout the country and host hundreds of families and volunteers.
